Thought I should post today - haven't been consistent with this and I think I figured out why...I don't typically enjoy uploading art created for work...I'd rather post creations from my own exploration and enjoyment of my craft - but life hasn't afforded me that luxury - time slips away so fast or is eaten up by other responsibility. So in lieu of my own lamenting, I decided to post some of the theme work that I've been creating...not the most exciting but better than brochures and booklets. Keep commenting and encourage me to discipline the free time to play with my own ideas!

OK, heres where I get on the "soap box" If your gift (or gifts) begin to only be defined as work we have problems. I understand work vs home life, balance and harmony but where is the YOU in all of that. I also struggle with "when" and "how" but I fit it in. even if I only squeeze in a half an hour or so I know it is necessary. You and I know that the joy found in creating (or being part of the creative process with Him) is amazing, it fills us, sustains us, grabs our idealistic views and ignites our passion to imagine BIG things. It forces us to dive in and get lost in the process. If that process only points towards deadlines (key word is DEAD in that word) or a paycheck we have lost the reason behind it all. The reason we create is that we feel closer to THE CREATOR. You are an amazing creator! DO NOT let that gift be a slave. Let it run free.
Well said...I consider myself chastised - you do remember that old dogs walk slower and sleep more.
Thanks for the pep talk, another creative smacked me with the same message last night...when you need it God makes sure you get it!
